Responsibilities:
The Resident Aide Level 2 will work Regular Part-Time Evening, 3PM - 11PM and will assist the Nursing staff in performing non-technical assigned tasks, including feeding and hydration of assigned residents.
The Resident Aide Level 2 will assist in transporting residents to and from the dining rooms, passing fluids and nourishment to residents after completing appropriate in-servicing under guidance of the LPN/Charge Nurse.
The Resident Aide Level 2 supports the nursing staff in performing tasks as assigned functions such as bed-making for empty beds only, straightening linens, cleaning closets and bedside tables, answer call lights and alert resident's alarms and all other non-technical duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Care Coordinator.
The Resident Aide Level 2 will attend all required in-services and follow all department and facility policies and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment.
Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all resident care and employee information and follow HIPAA and HIV regulations.
The Resident Aide Level 2 will assist with feeding and hydration of assigned residents in the congregate area.
The Resident Aide Level 2 will identify the assigned resident by checking individual resident's wrist band and any assigned adaptive feeding equipment for assigned resident.
Recognize any changes in resident's behavior and report these changes to the Nursing Supervisor or NCC.
Document intake as directed by Nursing.
Any employee that possesses a current NYS License or NYS NA Certification (ex:
CNA, LPN, RN, OT, PT, etc) but working as a Resident Assistant will be allowed to feed in accordance with their credentials.
Qualifications:
Bassett Healthcare Network follows the New York State and New York State Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandates for healthcare workers.
This mandate requires COVID-19 vaccinations for personnel working for or on behalf of our hospitals and nursing homes.

Education:
On-the-job training provided.
Candidate must complete NYS Feeding Assistant Class and be presented a Certificate of Completion.
