Job Description:
Herkimer College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Financial Aid Assistant.
The Financial Aid Assistant assists the Director of Financial Aid in performing a variety of duties associated with the processing and administering of federal and state financial aid programs and is responsible for assisting students (prospective, current and former) with all aspects of Financial Aid.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Proficient in computer software products, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access.
Knowledge in computer programming and database systems is a plus.
Experience working in a financial aid office or other collegiate departments a plus Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse, dynamic team of professionals.

This is a full-time, on-campus position with a salary range of $36,415 - $54,625.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
